Abhijata er Guruji B.K.S. Iyengars barnebarn. Som 16-årig begyndte hun at studere yoga under direkte vejledning af Guruji, hendes tante Geeta S. Iyengar og hendes onkel Prashant Iyengar. Hun underviser med stor energi, klarhed og bemærkelsesværdig ynde. Nu har du chancen for at deltage i denne konference og opleve Abhijata Iyengars undervisning.
How do I register?
Please go to the webpage of the Iyengar Yoga association of your country. If you are not a member in your country, now is a good chance to join! If you are not from the organizing countries, you can register via the Swedish–Norwegian association (AFTER A CERTAIN DATE PERHAPS??)
Do I have to be a member of Iyengar Yoga association?
No, all students of Iyengar yoga can join. However, the member discount is reserved only to the members of the organizing countries. In case there is a big rush of registrations, priority is given to organizing countries and their association members.
I'd like to join only for one day, is it possible?
The registrations and prices are available for only for the whole event or the weekends. Should you miss one day, or any days, unfortunately these cannot be compensated.
I am a long–time yoga student, but I have not done Iyengar yoga. May I still join?
Great that you have interest for Iyengar yoga! Please see the association webpages of your country to see where you can start practicing Iyengar yoga. However, to participate in this event you need to have at least one year background in Iyengar yoga (practice).
I have injuries/ ailments/ health concerns/ I am pregnant etc., may I still join?
Please consult your doctor and your regular Iyengar yoga teacher to decide if you may join. Please bare in mind that during these classes it is not possible to get individual corrections or modifications. During this event you are responsible for your practice. If you do know how to practice with what you have, and your doctor and teacher encourage you to join, you are most wellcome to join.
Do I need yoga props?
Yes, in addition to a yoga mat, it would be good to have yoga bricks, belt(s), blankets, a bolster (or something as replacement, like solid blankets) and a solid chair or two nearby. It is also a good idea to have place at a clear wall. If you do not have yoga props, think ahead of possibilies how to utilize and modify what you have as a replacements.
I have never attended in an online yoga class. How does it work?
This event is organized on Zoom platform. You need a good internet network and a computer or a tablet with enough battery or plugged onto a charger. To attend an event on Zoom is very easy, just copy paste the link you receive beforehand and type in your full name to sign in: please bare in mind, you must sign-in with your own full name tto be accepted in. The host will let you in. All participants will be muted to avoid any disturbance in the teaching. During the event, as there is going to be a larger amount of participants, Abhijata is teaching with the help of pre-chosen panelists, meaning that you will see Abhijata or one of the panelists demonstrating the practice. Abhijata teaches everyone by teaching the panelists, so she is not looking at all participants. Still the feeling is very intimate and as an experienced teacher she will be able to guide you in your practice.
Is it possible to teach yoga online?
Now is your great chance to experience how an experienced teacher can get the message of yoga through even online. Naturally the teaching is adjusted to the online format.
These are very stressfull times/ I have never attended an intensive, I'd like to join but I am not sure if I have the energy or mental capacity to practice for who hours on consecutive days.
The power of Iyengar yoga is that it can and should be adjusted to all life situations. Abhijata is very considerate of these times that we all now live in. Yoga can help us all a great deal in our struggles, but naturally we need to take care not to strain ourselves too much, especially if there is much stress already. Should you feel the need to take a extra pauses during the practice, it is very much encouraged.

Undervisningen foregår på Engelsk. Der vil ikke være oversættelse.
